Biography

Hi, I’m Jan Norberger, your local Liberal for Pearce.

My wife Mira and I are raising our family in the northern suburbs because we love the local amenities, opportunities and community spirit. The northern suburbs have been my home since my family first moved to Australia in 1982. It has been exciting to see our communities grow and expand.

My journey of service began with the Royal Australian Air Force, where I served for six years as a Communications and Information Systems Controller. I reached the rank of Corporal and was honoured with an Officer Commanding Commendation, instilling in me a deep commitment to serving others.

Professionally, I’ve taken on various leadership roles, including building a local business into a respected provider of training and recruitment services for the mining industry and working with the Australian Medical Association to establish AMA College as a premium nursing college right here in the northern suburbs.

In 2013, I had the privilege of serving as our State MP for Joondalup, securing critical funding for our health services, sporting facilities, and major infrastructure projects. It was an honour to represent our community in parliament and deliver tangible results.

I’m passionate about making Pearce an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

I understand our community’s needs – whether it’s investing in local health services, supporting our local sporting and community facilities, or advocating for policies that strengthen our economy and create jobs.

With first-hand experience in business, community service, and government, I’m committed to delivering real results that improve our daily lives.
