$1.5 million for the Shreenathdham Haveli Cultural & Community Centre

A re-elected Morrison Government will invest $1.5 million to help build the much-needed Shreenathdham Haveli Cultural & Community Centre in Wangara.

Liberal Candidate for Pearce, Linda Aitken, said the commitment was a huge win for the Vaishnav Sangh of Western Australia (VSWA).

“VSWA have been giving back to our community for years and this investment will provide an important meeting place for many local residents,” Ms Aitken said.

“The local Hindu community, currently based out of the Stirling Adriatic Centre, provides a place for prayer, language classes, and senior and youth services to over 1,000 locals, with demand growing quickly for more social and cultural events.

“The VSWA have already worked hard to secure a parcel of land in Wangara to build the Centre, and I am so pleased a re-elected Morrison Government will provide the critical investment to get construction of their very own premises underway.”

The Morrison Government recognises the important work our local associations do for our communities and particularly the impact multicultural communities have on our society.

Only the Morrison Government will continue to deliver for Pearce as part of our plan to build a strong economy and a stronger future.
