A re-elected Morrison Government will provide $787,078 to the Ishar Multicultural Women’s Health Services in Mirrabooka for health support and education for culturally and linguistically diverse youth.
Liberal candidate for Cowan, Vince Connelly, said the funding for the initiative would ensure young multicultural women and youth were provided with education and support around health.
“These kinds of initiatives are integral to the health and wellbeing of young migrants, especially women, and ensure they’re provided with the resources and support they need when it comes to domestic violence awareness and health,” Mr Connelly said.
“This project will deliver for multicultural youth between the ages of 14 and 25 years, who will be able to access education resources like workshops on sexual health and family and domestic violence.
“Young women specifically will be able to access education on family and domestic violence identifiers, knowledge on their rights under Australian Law, and access to health and wellbeing services.
“Providing a safer community is part of my plan for Cowan. By delivering a strong economy, the Morrison government can continue to ensure that projects like this are funded for a stronger future.”
Only the Morrison Government has a plan to continue delivering a strong economy and a stronger future for the residents of Cowan.
