I’m Marie O’Dea, your Liberal candidate for the district of Warren-Blackwood.
Born in the Adelaide Hills I grew up on a family farm before moving to Western Australia to study at what is now Curtin University. My husband Ian and I live on our farm in Mount Barker where we produce prime lambs.
I have loved the opportunity to become more involved with our local community. I am a shire councillor in Plantagenet, coordinate the Portavin Wine Show of WA, play an active role in the arts as treasurer for Plantagenent Arts Council, as well as being Vice Chair
for ArtSouth WA.
I have maintained a strong connection with agriculture through my work in both Australia and the UK. I have worked in farm lobby groups, small and big business, universities and health organisations.
I love living in our local community, but for too long we have been forgotten. We need a local voice who understands the issues and concerns facing the people of Warren-Blackwood.
As part of the Liberal team, I’ll fight for better access to GPs and healthcare, more support for local police to keep you safe, tackle the McGowan Government’s unfair $850 per year increases to your household bills, and I will support small and family business to create jobs in the local area.
The Liberal team will help families get ahead, and support retirees to enjoy the retirement they deserve.
I look forward to meeting people living and working in Warren-Blackwood, and finding out what is important to you.
