Candidate for South West
Heather Reid is an active member of the Bunbury and South West Community. As an Occupational Therapist with a 26 year career working across a broad range of private and now public sector employment, Heather has always worked diligently and with sincerity to assist people, business, organisations and community groups to strive toward and achieve their goals.
Heather has balanced a full time career with raising a family. Heather also has a very strong association with many community members through her active engagement in volunteer work, serving as a Rotarian for 16 years supporting local community charitable causes, international humanitarian projects, people with disability support needs and promoting programmes for youth development. Heather has served as President and has been awarded high honours by Rotary International for her services to community.
Heather has also been an active volunteer for the Liberal Party WA and currently services as Senior Vice President for the Forrest Division and is an active participant in the Forrest Division Women’s Committee.
Heather has a diverse background having grown up in Esperance living on a farm and moving away from to pursue study, she understands many of the additional challenges people need to overcome living in rural and regional areas.
Heather’s career specialties are in the fields of safety, health and human resource management. She has experience consulting to small and large businesses. In recent years through her Senior Management role in the WA Country Health Service become equipped with a unique combination of knowledge and abilities to assist her in achieving a better deal for all members of the South West community.
