Biography

I’m Jonathan Huston, your Member for Nedlands.

I grew up in a family of eight, rooted in a diverse community heritage. Our family blend of urban and rural traditions—from Subiaco to Kojonup—has instilled a deep appreciation for the various walks of life within our community.

My education began at Aquinas College, and led me to the Royal Military College Duntroon. During my time in the military, I served as an intelligence officer, reaching the rank of Major with postings in Canada and the UK.

After my service, I pursued my dream of business ownership, leading companies like Tintacar, Croissant Express, and Parkside Towbars.

My experiences helped me grow as a leader and serve my community through volunteering with organisations like Legacy, the Red Cross, and Lifelink.

I also founded The Hard Hat Foundation, which supports construction safety in Bali.

I’m passionate about maintaining our community’s charm, making sure local development is guided by local voices, and supporting community groups that contribute so much to our area.

Since my election in March 2025, I’ve been working hard to deliver for the residents of the Nedlands electorate. If there’s anything I can help you with – big or small – please don’t hesitate to reach out.
