Parkerville Oval will receive much needed upgrades, making sure it’s match fit for junior football and cricket players, with a re-elected Morrison Government committing $450,000 to the project.
Liberal Member for Hasluck, Ken Wyatt, said the funding would go towards new lighting and practice cricket nets.
“The Parkerville sporting complex is an essential part of the community’s strong social connection,” Minister Wyatt said.
“Parkerville has a proud network of sporting clubs that keep our community strong and our kids healthy and happy.
“That’s why a Morrison Government will ensure the Parkerville Junior Football Club and Parkerville Junior Cricket Club have the equipment they need to train and play at match standard.”
The oval’s sports lighting will be upgraded to high-lux LED to allow teams to train safely at night, and the cricket nets will be replaced with contemporary enclosed fencing and new AstroTurf pitches.
If re-elected, the Morrison Government will deliver the project in partnership with the Shire of Mundaring.
Only the Morrison Government will continue to deliver a better future for Hasluck, and this is part of our plan to build a strong economy and a stronger future.
