Biography

I’m Gabi Ghasseb, Liberal candidate for the Legislative Council, based in the South West regional city of Bunbury. As a husband, father, local businessman, and elected Councillor, I have a proven track record in community representation.

My family migrated to Australia fifty-three years ago and settled in Bunbury, where I have spent decades actively participating in the community. I’ve been involved in not-for-profit organisations, the chamber of commerce, church activities, and service clubs, and I also serve as an active Justice of the Peace.

With a strong background in business, I have expertise in finance, economics, and innovative start-ups. I hold an MBA and am a past Honorary Research Fellow. Additionally, I have an Engineering Certificate and extensive design and project management experience in the mining and manufacturing industries.

I’m well-versed in numerous issues concerning families, commerce, and agribusiness. My vision is to continue building a vibrant state with all the necessary infrastructure, education, careers, health care, housing, services, and security. This will create an environment that helps families thrive and businesses prosper while recognising the importance of the regions.

I am a passionate and fearless advocate for regional Western Australia, and I aim to ensure that all families and businesses have the opportunity to flourish, particularly in the South West, where I am committed to driving positive change.
