I’m George Tilbury, your local Liberal candidate for the district of Forrestfield. My family and I know in our local community, having lived in the Foothillls for many years.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time working at our family business, so commitment, dedication and hard work was ingrained at an early age.
I always had a strong calling to help others and make a real difference, which is why I chose to join WA Police. I have protected and served the community for almost 30 years as a police officer. I have ridden many highs and lows, seeing people at their best and worst, which is why I understand how tough it really is.
For almost 7 years I had the absolute privilege of successfully advocating for more than 6,500 police officers, as the President of the WA Police Union. These incredible men and women do extraordinary things every day to keep us safe and we should all be so proud. I certainly am.
I went to Forrestfield Senior High School and I’ve lived and worked in all suburbs of our district. I built my first house in High Wycombe, played, coached and umpired various sports and volunteered on numerous committees. Even when work took me away, I kept coming back
Our community is a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family. The unique country vibe, close knit community and proximity to major centres are just some of the reasons we all love the Foothills.
We need to retain our lifestyle, while encouraging investment and maximising local jobs and employment opportunities.
