I’m Liam Staltari, your local Liberal candidate for the district of Kalamunda. I’m a life-long local. The Hills are my home and have been for generations of my family.
I believe in the importance of family, hard work and community service. These values were instilled in me while growing up in our community.
I currently work in WA’s gold industry with previous experience as a ministerial policy adviser for the Federal Government.
My partner Elizabeth and I live in Lesmurdie. We hope to start a family in coming years and are passionate about ensuring that this community remains a fantastic place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
Growing up on a citrus orchard in a family of Italian orchardists taught me about the commitment and sacrifice it takes to build a family-run business.
Weekends and after school were spent around Haynes Street, Stirk Park and Ray Owen Reserve – enjoying the “small-town” childhood that is so unique to our Hills community.
After primary school at Mary’s Mount and high school at Mazenod College, I completed a bachelor’s degree at UWA in Economics and Political Science. I’m so grateful for the opportunities given to me by our fantastic local schools and continue to volunteer with Mazenod’s past student’s association.
I currently serve on the Board of the Rotary Club of Kalamunda and as a Director on the Board of Awards WA. I have previously served as State Youth Representative of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Western Australia.
Better than most, residents in the Hills understand the power of individuals working together to make their communities better.
I have the passion and energy to fight for our local community in State Parliament.
